  • Established in 1949 by Carl Richard
  • Originally was an electrical supply business that did some electrical installations
  • Dennis and David Richard became owners in 1974 after Carl passed
  • Dennis and David became Carrier dealers in 1978
  • Richard Electric was incorporated in 1981
  • Richard Electric moved from downtown Cullman to the current location in 1986
  • Barrett Richard became the owner in 2015
  • Currently, we have over 5,500 active client sites
  • We offer residential, commercial, and industrial heating and cooling services
  • Residential, commercial, and industrial electrical services
  • Generator servicing and installation
  • Full-metal fabrication shop
  • Well-stocked parts room
  • Highly trained staff
  • Currently hold state of Alabama HVAC, electrical, refrigeration licenses, and general contractor's license as UBC
